| Allan Hirsh has a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University and a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. He was born in Montreal and now lives in North Bay, Ontario, where he has been in private practice as a psychotherapist for over 23 years. Allan offers workshops on humor and stress management. He has been drawing cartoons as a form of tension relief for years and his cartoons have been published in Stitches Magazine For Doctors, A Cup of Chicken Soup for the Soul, by Jack Canfield, Mark Hanson, and Barry Spilchuk, and Let's Talk.about Money, by Paul Barton and Barry Spilchuk. In addition to Relax For The Fun Of It, Allan has co-authored a book with Donna Sinclair: Getting Along - The ABC's of Human Relations. |
| Allan is a strong supporter of the YMCA, where he enjoys aerobics and weight lifting. On Saturday mornings in the summer, he can be seen biking to various yard sales in search of old toys and antiques. In his spare time, Allan loves to putter in his workshop; refinishing furniture and creating playful sculptures. He has three grown sons and a step-daughter. |
